SUMMARY:Generative AI tools and their impact on our lives
DESCRIPTION:Artificial Intelligence is increasingly becoming a major factor in our lives whether directly or indirectly. Major companies from various sectors are quickly adopting AI algorithms and applying them in numerous fields and disciplines to improve quality\, accelerate production or provide better services. This has become evident through the high investment in AI and subsequently the increasing number of tools being invented. The benefits of these tools in solving real life problems are quite obvious. However\, the misuse of this technology by people with ill intentions would potentially lead to negative outcomes and might put people’s lives in danger. In this webinar we will present some use cases and tools\, and explain the impact of each tool. \n\n\n\nAbout the Speaker \n\n\n\nDr. Jabir Alshehabi Al-Ani is a Lecturer in Data Science at York St John University in the United Kingdom with over 10 years of experience in Machine Learning\, Artificial Intelligence (AI)\, Natural Language Processing (NLP)\, Data Retrieval\, and Information Extraction. His research interests include machine learning for educational data mining\, responsible AI for labor market equality in Canada and the UK\, gendered STEM Workforce in the United Kingdom\, natural language processing for social media analysis\, and information extraction from unstructured data. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)\, guest editor of MDPI Mathematics journal\, and is passionate about using his expertise in AI and machine learning to solve real-world problems.

DESCRIPTION:Al-Kindi Society of Engineers invites its members to the Annual General Meeting for the year 2026 which will be held in London on the 24 January 2026 from 1600 till 1800. \nVenue:  Salam House\, 10 Lyons Place\, London NW8 8NL \nAgenda: \n\nTo receive a report from the Management Committee on the Al-Kindi’s achievements in the previous years (July 2023 – December 2025).\nTo receive the Financial Statements for the year ended 31 December 2023\, 31 December 2024 and 31 December 2025.\n Vote of thanks to the Management Committee and other committees.\nElection of a new Management Committee (including president and company directors).\nAny other business.\n\nMembers who have not yet renewed their membership for 2026 are advised to renew their membership urgently. The nominations form for the new Management Committee positions including the president and company director roles can be found on the website link below.
